Lisa is 55 years old and has Type 3 SMA. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she worked as a speech and language therapist. She is the author of 4 educational children’s books. Lisa currently lives in Pennsylvania with her husband. Her children and grandchildren live nearby and visit often. She is currently writing her memoirs of life with SMA.
